One of these things is not like the other.
This week, we planned for the filming of one of my favorite scripts, “Two of These Things.” The short film takes place in a black-and-white world, where only one girl is in color. She is disliked by her fellow classmates for being special. It will be released on Vimeo this March.
There are so many reasons why I love this film, ranging from its inspiring social commentary to its amazingly sincere title. I am thrilled to be the cinematographer for this shoot.
This week, we prepped for the shooting of “Two of These Things.” We ran through the script, and the director visualized shot ideas along the way. The director (and writer) of this film is awesome, and came prepared with sketches and ideas for various shots. Our shot list needed to accommodate to the requirements of a part-B&W, part-color film. The colorful character passing in front of a B&W character makes editing the shots even harder.
Next week, I will share my experience as the cinematographer for “Two of These Things,” which will be released on Vimeo this March.
Cut to black, white, and a bit of color.
